Outcome of the re-evaluation

Fecha: El miércoles, 18 dic 2024 a las 21:22
Asunto: The re-evaluation of "Retos (Spain)" for Scopus is complete
Title: Retos (Spain)

ISSN / E-ISSN: 1579-1726 / 1988-2041

Publisher: Federación Española de Docentes de Educación Física - JURUFRA

Dear Francisco Ruiz Juan,

The title mentioned above has been re-evaluated by the Scopus Content Selection & Advisory Board (CSAB) to determine whether the title meets the content selection standards of Scopus today. The re-evaluation of this title is now complete and it was decided to continue with the indexing of this title in Scopus and any content that was paused during the re-evaluation will be added to Scopus within 4 weeks.

For your information, the reason for making this decision is:

Sample papers are by a mix of international authors - though some have a relatively large number of authors per published paper. Paper quality and cited references are generally good. The journal's commissioned report has clearly outlined the problem of group submission and citation patterns by authors from Indonesia. The journal's website has now indicated a clear statement on how to reduce unwarranted oversubmission and self-citations in potential papers: https://recyt.fecyt.es/index.php/retos/Ajustes. We are am reasonably comfortable with this quick editorial action. The decision is to continue indexing for now and recheck this title in the near future.

Yours sincerely,

The Scopus Team

Retos was founded in 2002. Since then, its mission has been to publish original scientific works carried out with rigor and which represent a contribution to the progress of the sciences of physical activity and sport and their derived professional fields. Preferably, manuscripts of a scientific nature are accepted (basic and/or applied research works. Preference will be given to articles with multivariate analysis). Articles of dissemination and/or empirical didactic experiences (exchange of proposals and experiences developed and researched) and articles of quantitative systematic theoretical reviews and/or meta-analysis are also published exclusively. Since January 1, 2022, JURUFRA has been the publisher of the magazine.

Retos deeply appreciates the respect of professional and ethical standards, and recommends that authors who wish to submit manuscripts to carefully observe the rules Challenges own publication.
