Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has shaken the foundations of our education. We have found it impossible for our students to travel to educational centers, which have been closed because of the confinement decreed in most countries. Unexpectedly, educational institutions have been forced to adopt emergency solutions, migrating to remote non-face-to-face teaching models, which have made it possible to stop the coup. Based on this experience, we begin to assess whether online education can be a valid ally that allows the development of hybrid solutions in our educational systems. This book presents a series of proposals to improve online education and to face future situations of discontinuous presence that may arise due to possible new total or partial confinements.
