Humor em adultos fisicamente ativos e inativos durante a pandemia de COVID-19

Objetivo: Comparar o estado de espírito em um grupo de adultos fisicamente ativos (AF) treinados remotamente durante um período de quarentena por COVID-19 e um grupo de adultos fisicamente inativos (FI). Métodos: A Escala de Avaliação do Humor (EVEA) foi aplicada a ambos os grupos, FA (n=15), idade 23±3,7 anos de um clube de cheerleaders, e a um grupo IF (n=15) idade 27±2,4 anos, em dois ocasiões com um tempo de separação de um mês. Foram recolhidos dados, em ambos os períodos, sobre humor (EA), especificamente ansiedade, tristeza, alegria e raiva. Foram comparados os EAs entre os grupos em dois períodos e os EAs por grupo em cada período. Se o valor de p (sig) for menor que 0,05, estabelece-se a presença de diferenças estatisticamente significativas entre medidas e grupos. Para calcular o tamanho do efeito (ES) da diferença, foi aplicado o teste d de Cohen. Resultados: Ambas as medidas mostraram que FA apresentou menos ansiedade (p = 0,00; TE 1,37; p = 0,00; TE 2,07), tristeza (p = 0,06; TE 0,57; p = 0,00; TE 1,99) e raiva (p = 0,00 ; TE 0,77; p = 0,00; TE 3,43) e maior alegria (p = 0,01, TE 0,98, p = 0,00, ES 3,60), respectivamente. Além disso, o AF na 2ª medição diminuiu a tristeza (p = 0,25, TE 0,45) e a raiva (p = 0,05, TE 0,57) e aumentou a alegria (p = 0,05; TE 0,75), enquanto o IF aumentou a raiva (p = 0,00 ; TE 2,11) e diminuição da alegria (p = 0,12, TE 1,07). Conclusão: AF apresentou melhor humor do que IF em ambas as medidas durante a pandemia de COVID-19, e a AE negativa diminuiu e a AE positiva aumentou, respondendo pelos efeitos positivos do exercício físico na AE.
