Approach to a Visibility Analysis Model in University from a Gender Perspective
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper presents an investigation designed to provide a comprehensive framework on the visibility of university professors in Spain, through the study of the elements that shape it, following a qualitative methodology. Three data collection methods have been used: semi-structured interviews, applied to twenty-two informants, analysis of institutional webs and focus group. The study was developed in two public universities: Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and Universidad de Sevilla. The conclusions present a model that synthesizes the visibility of the teaching staff at the university. This model is formed by three dimensions (participation, expertise and power) applied to three professional scopes (teaching, researching and managing) with different intensity degrees (high, medium and low).
