Abstract
In this paper we analyse the formative offer in the modern Spanish public universities. It is an offer accommodated to adult education, whose main objective is the highest adaptation of the curriculum to the specific characteristics of each locality. Among the most outstanding components, we should mention the recovery of local traditions, literacy and the training in the new information and communication technologies. Its peculiar nature makes its formative offer to be unique and varied at the same time, restrained by social, economic, cultural and geographic factors.
