Abstract

The purpose of this article is to present how the traditional form of Japanese storytelling (Kamishibai), which is so deeply-rooted in its society, can be adapted perfectly to the current curriculum models determined by Preschool and Primary Education. In this way, we achieve not only the expected logical learning, but also an accurate exercise of assimilation of elements from this distant culture. If we work from the earliest levels with the children, we will get in future more tolerant and openminded societies in future, where the «interculture» or the interest in «the other» will be something more than just a passing fashion or snobbery.
