Abstract

The objective of the current work was to conduct a bibliometric analysis of the journal Bordón. It is a descriptive study in which 390 articles published in the journal from 2000 to 2009 were analyzed. Different parameters were registered: year of publication, type of the study, type of the sample, the number of the authors, author’s origins, affiliations, language of publication and the years of publication of the articles cited by the documents included in the study. In the next step, the citations to the articles were found in the IN-RECS. Among other findings, it was shown that all the articles, but one, were published in Spanish and that almost all the authors were from Spain. The most cited articles are those from the congresses and most of the documents were written by one author. There are more empirical than theoretical studies and the most utilized sample in the former consists of adults with no pathologies. Some future recommendations could be related to attracting foreign authors, including the full texts of the articles on the Internet or promoting the use of updated literature
