Abstract

In this article, we are explaining a research about the study of needs and the support that suppose nowadays inplies tutorship to the higher education students. We focus on the analysis of the dynamics that surround the tutorial action in the university. With this work we specify the needs and contributions that the university students have with the tutorship, by identifying and examining functions developed by professors in their tutoring activity. The research has a qualitative approach, focusing on case study of the Degree of “Social Education” Degree obtained in the Faculty of the Educational Sciences, of Vigo´s University. This work helps know the analyzed context, thus discovering evidence on students’ demands and on practices that the tutorial action involves. Moreover, we propose guidelines to perform and improve the tutoring function. The study is a starting point to know and to understand the situation in its context of the tutoring in the University.
