Abstract

The objective of the study is to discover the similarities and differences in the opinions, knowledge
and performance regarding bullying among the teachers and the students of the Course of Pedagogic
Aptitude (CAP).
It is a transverse study with a sample of 139 peoples; 49% teachers and 51% students of the CAP
(year 2007-2008). A test was applied a test based on the Questionnaire of Intimidation (Ortega and
Merchan, 2000) and of the Study of the «Defensor del Pueblo» (1999) with 34 items contained in
four groups.
The results are similar to those obtained in some studies. Although a level of current information
is shown about bullying, a necessity of specific formation was detected. It would be advisable to
include a module about this topic in all the programmes of professors' initial and permanent formation
to increase competency in their educational work.
