Efeito de um programa de atividade física abrangente na condição física, estilo de vida sedentário e tempo de ecrã em crianças em idade escolar

Resumo

Introdução: A atividade física realizada em contexto escolar desempenha um papel importante no bem-estar físico e psicológico das crianças e adolescentes.
Objectivo: avaliar o efeito de um programa abrangente de actividade física baseado em jogos modificados e hábitos saudáveis ​​na aptidão física dos escolares de um estabelecimento de ensino.
Metodologia: Estudo quase experimental com desenho pré-teste-pós-teste em grupo experimental (GEX) (35 no total; 23 rapazes, 12 raparigas, 11,4±0,7 anos) e um grupo de controlo (GC) (33 no total, 17 rapazes e 16 raparigas , 11,7±0,6 anos). A intervenção durou 14 semanas. Foram aplicados testes de aptidão física pré e pós-intervenção. A atividade física (AF) e o tempo de ecrã (TP) foram medidos através de questões do questionário Perfil de Atividade Juvenil (YAP-S).
Resultados: Nos resultados de aptidão física, foi encontrado um efeito significativo para o tempo na Força de Preensão Manual (PF) (p=<0,001, η2p:0,29), Força Relativa de Preensão Manual (FPR) (p =<0, 0032, η2p: 0,06), teste 4x10 (p=<0,0097, η2p:0,04) e flexibilidade (p=<0,001, η2p:0,61) que também apresentou diferenças entre os grupos (0,059, η2p:0,053) com um tamanho de efeito pequeno. Os resultados dos tempos de FA indicam um efeito significativo para o tempo (p=<0,001, η2p:0,293) e nas diferenças de TP entre grupos (p=0,015, η2p:0,086) e tempo (pré-teste vs. pós-teste ( p=). <0,001, η2p:0,171)
Discussão: As intervenções de actividade física baseadas na escola podem ter um efeito pequeno a moderado na aptidão física tanto em crianças como em adolescentes. Por outro lado, as intervenções que utilizam jogos produzem melhorias na diversão das crianças e adolescentes.
Conclusões: Um programa de intervenção de atividade física e hábitos saudáveis ​​de 14 semanas apresentou efeitos atribuíveis à intervenção na flexibilidade e no tempo de ecrã. Além disso, o programa gerou um maior aproveitamento nas aulas de AF e Educação Física.
