Abstract
Linguistic competence is a transversal competence that affects all areas of the curriculum and manifests itself in all the areas in which the students operate. It has a close relationship with all the competences, areas and fields. This work evaluates the impact of the employment of the Walinwa educational platform through which the competence in linguistic communication is worked in the primary education stage. The methodology based on educational digital games is used on a sample of 81 students. An application procedure is systematized (LingüisTIC Project) with the selection of play activities according to the students' needs. The results of the reports provided by the program itself are relevant. After applying the corresponding descriptive statistics and the mean differences between the pretest and the posttest, a statistically significant difference is evident, resulting in the highly effective program for improving competence in linguistic communication and verifying the importance of the number of application sessions.
