Abstract
This study examines the self-assessment of complex thinking oriented to the development of scientific entrepreneurship skills in students from the University San Carlos de Guatemala who participated in an extracurricular workshop called Scientific Entrepreneurship with a Future Vision that specializes in developing skills to prototype and communicate entrepreneurship projects. using an educational platform. It was taught to 127 university students applying a four-stage methodology: identify, ideate, invent, report. To measure self-assessment of skills, a questionnaire with a Likert-type scale named ecomplexCE was used to measure entrepreneurship from the perspective of scientific, critical, systemic, and innovative thinking; the strategy was to apply it before and after the workshop. It was found that the perception of entrepreneurship skills improved between the pretest and the posttest, which is an indicator of the efficiency of the workshop, however, these differences were not found to be significant. It is concluded that scientific entrepreneurship can be built through the development of higher-order competencies such as complex thinking and that the design of training experiences accompanied by the use of learning platforms can improve self-assessment.
