Resumen

En este estudio se examina la autovaloración del pensamiento complejo orientado al desarrollo de habilidades de emprendimiento científico en estudiantes de la Universidad San Carlos de Guatemala que participaron en un taller extracurricular llamado Emprendimiento científico con visión de futuro que se especializa en desarrollar habilidades para prototipar y comunicar proyectos de emprendimiento mediante el uso de una plataforma educativa. Se impartió a 127 universitarios aplicando una metodología de cuatro etapas: identificar, idear, inventar, informar. Para medir la autovaloración de las habilidades se utilizó un cuestionario con escala tipo Likert nombrado ecomplexCE con el fin de medir el emprendimiento desde el enfoque del pensamiento científico, crítico, sistémico e innovador, la estrategia fue aplicarlo antes y después del taller. Se encontró que la percepción de habilidades de emprendimiento mejoró entre la prueba previa y la prueba posterior, lo que es un indicador de la eficiencia del taller, sin embargo, no se encontró que estas diferencias fueran significativas. Se concluye que el emprendimiento científico puede construirse por medio del desarrollo de competencias de orden superior como el pensamiento complejo y que el diseño de experiencias formativas acompañadas con el uso de plataformas de aprendizaje puede mejorar su autovaloración.
