Resumen

Los nuevos instrumentos digitales portátiles están accediendo a la vida cotidiana y profesional de todos los ciudadanos. Este elevado nivel de penetración de los dispositivos móviles digitales destinados al cómputo y a la gestión de la información ocupa cualquier tiempo y lugar, y el centro educativo debería implementar este potencial no sólo en el ámbito de la comunicación, sino también para realizar actividades orientadas a la construcción del conocimiento. En este trabajo se determina su grado de implementación real y de aceptación en los distintos niveles educativos de enseñanzas medias tomando como referencia en un centro educativo español. La investigación constata que profesores y alumnos disponen de estos dispositivos móviles, pero la mitad reconoce que nunca lo utiliza como herramienta de enseñanza. Y la mitad de los docentes dudan que pueda mejorar la metodología educativa tradicional, aunque mayoritariamente les gustaría implementarlos y creen que sería un factor motivador para el alumnado. Por otro lado, los estudiantes muestran un mayor interés y creen que mejoraría su rendimiento.
