The training of trainers in evidence-based interventions is key to ensuring the effectiveness of these interventions. In prevention programs for addictive behaviors, antisocial or risk behaviors and/or suicidal behaviors, adequate preparation of professionals is essential. However, there is little information and research on how these trainings of trainers are and how they are evaluated. Through a systematic review, the characteristics of these trainings, their training methodologies, the evaluation instruments, and the variables that are measured are explored. The main results indicate that, in terms of the characteristics of the trainings, these are mainly oriented towards health prevention, followed by family and parental programs aimed at intervention in social and emotional problems. Second, with respect to the training methodologies, it is highlighted the importance of active formats that encourage the involvement of participants. And third, in relation to the result variables, the need for mixed evaluations and the relevance of trainers' self-evaluations are noted. Overall, the heterogeneity of the variables measured, and the characteristics of the trainings makes difficult a global assessment and greater convergence towards variables and evaluation instruments that can faithfully measure the effectiveness of these trainings is recommended (e.g., improvement of skills and knowledge of the intervention).
