Abstract

The objective of this article is to present a revision of the literature that undertake the study of the components implied in the way the students feel during mathematical learning. The reference to understand the emotional characteristics of the students toward mathematics is to know the attitudes, the beliefs and the anxiety toward and during the learning. Likewise, the article presents a synthesis of the measurement instrument and methods that could be helpful for mathematical teachers and counsellors in order to diagnose negative emotional constraining factors (or negative emotions) toward this discipline. Finally, the article offers a sequence of teaching and psychological methods, psychology skill (method), educational or guidance programs, all directed to the improvement of the emotionality of the students in the context of mathematical teaching.
