Abstract

This work theoretically studies head teachers' burnout syndrome; being more specific, there are analyzed the meaning, the sympotomatology and the antecedents of this construct, once adapted to school management. Likewise, syndrome combating guidelines are proposed, especially of administrative nature, and it's argued that a good means to avoid burnout is right training. In this sense, they are also provided several topics that, in author´s opinion, ought to be included in courses and master's programs on school management, and whose purpose is increasing cognitives, emotionals and behaviorals abilities of the head.
