Abstract

Religious freedom has made its way after the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, as a possibility for growing the identities of different social groups. This freedom, in an open society, has been developed as freedom of teaching religion in schools or as denominational religion, depending on the constitutional order of each country. Teaching of Catholicism in the schools is shown to be plainly in the Christian tradition, that considers that God is the Truth. It is analyzed the different perspectives of denominational religion teaching according to constitutional Spain. This work, lastly, presents some proposals about the practical reflective model in teaching, as about the consequences on the private life of the teacher, following the specific exemplar dimension of his/her role.
