Intensidade e nível de atividade física em demônios do festival de Tirana no Chile

Resumo

O objetivo foi analisar a intensidade e o nível de atividade física nas danças diabólicas durante o festival Tirana no Chile. O estudo foi não experimental, transversal, exploratório, descritivo e comparativo. Participaram 50 dançarinos de uma diablada chilena (30 mulheres e 20 homens). As avaliações foram realizadas durante a festa religiosa de La Tirana, no norte do Chile. Para quantificar as variáveis ​​do estudo, foram utilizados acelerômetros Actigraph modelo GTX-3, instalados na cintura. Os dançarinos tiveram dias efetivos de dança entre 3 e 5 horas/dia. A intensidade média por hora de dança foi de 3,1  1,0 METs, o percentual de intensidade de dança em intensidade moderada a vigorosa (AFMV) foi de 46,4%  2,7%; a média de passos por hora foi de 3124  178 e o tempo em atividade moderada a vigorosa (AFMV) variou de 83,1 a 138,5 min por dia. Foram encontradas diferenças na atividade física muito vigorosa entre homens e mulheres (F=9,57; p=0,003; n2p= 0,127). Dançarinas diabladas apresentam altos níveis de atividade física durante o festival religioso de La Tirana, no Chile. A cada dia os bailarinos superam as recomendações internacionais de atividade física, o que pode gerar benefícios na saúde e na qualidade de vida.
