Análisis de la intervención del entrenador a partir de partidos reducidos (Analysis of coach intervention based on small-sided games)

Resumen

El objetivo del presente estudio fue analizar la intervención pedagógica del entrenador en diferentes juegos reducidos. Participaron en el estudio 2 entrenadores (A y B) y 20 jugadores divididos en dos categorías (Sub 13 y Sub 17). Cada entrenador creó una tarea de entrenamiento basada en el juego (Juego 1) y realizó una intervención (Juego 2) con el objetivo de enfatizar la progresión hacia el objetivo. El desempeño de los jugadores fue analizado mediante el Sistema de caracterización de la secuencia ofensiva (SCSO) y la Clasificación de la secuencia ofensiva. El comportamiento del entrenador fue analizado utilizando el “Coach Analysis and Intervention System” (CAIS). En cuanto al análisis estadístico, se utilizó la prueba de Kolmogorov-Smirnov para evaluar la normalidad; las variables se presentaron a través de estadística descriptiva (media, desviación estándar, frecuencia absoluta y porcentaje), la prueba de Mann-Whitney se aplicó para las comparaciones entre los juegos y la prueba de Chi-cuadrado se utilizó para comparar las secuencias ofensivas. Entre los resultados obtenidos, el Juego 2 del entrenador A fomentó ataques más colectivos relacionados con el mantenimiento de la posesión del balón, mientras que el Juego 2 del entrenador B favoreció un estilo de juego más orientado a la progresión. El comportamiento verbal más utilizado por el entrenador A fue la instrucción, mientras que el entrenador B utilizó principalmente la retroalimentación. Por lo tanto, concluimos que la intervención del entrenador A no fue acertada, ya que enfatizó un objetivo diferente (mantenimiento), mientras que la intervención del entrenador B logró alcanzar el objetivo propuesto (progresión).

Abstract. The aim of the present study was to analyze the pedagogical intervention of coaches in different small-sided games. The study involved 2 coaches (A and B) and 20 players divided into two categories (Under 13 and Under 17). Each coach created a training task based on a game (Game 1) and conducted an intervention (Game 2) with the objective of emphasizing progression toward the goal. The players' performance was analyzed using the Offensive Sequence Characterization System (SCSO) and the Offensive Sequence Classification. The coaches' behavior was analyzed using the Coach Analysis and Intervention System (CAIS). For the statistical analysis, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used to assess normality, and variables were presented through descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation, absolute frequency, and percentage). The Mann-Whitney test was applied to compare the games, and the Chi-square test was used to compare offensive sequences. Among the results obtained, Coach A’s Game 2 fostered more collective attacks related to ball possession, while Coach B’s Game 2 favored a style of play closer to progression. The most frequently used verbal behavior by Coach A was instruction, while for Coach B, it was feedback. Therefore, we conclude that Coach A’s intervention was not effective, as it emphasized a different objective (possession), whereas Coach B’s intervention achieved the proposed objective (progression).
