Abstract. The aim of this work is to analyze emerging terminology in decision-making in Latin American sports organizations. The research constitutes a tool for improving organizational decision-making processes, based on the identification of deficiencies and the creation of a model that allows methodological operability based on the needs and potentialities of all the factors involved. The methodology used in this research includes the identification of variables and conceptual categories of the object of study, which are strengthened through bibliometric (Bibliometrix software) and practical analysis. The study focuses on analyzing the decision-making process in Latin American sports organizations using 16 items resulting from bibliometrics, which are tabulated using SPSS 28.0 for reliability analysis, descriptive and inferential statistics, exploratory factor analysis, and hierarchical clustering. The study includes data collected from various sports organizations in Cuba, Venezuela, Ecuador, and Colombia. The researchers identify deficiencies in the decision-making process and propose four quadrants to define the actions needed to improve it. The research instrument includes four dimensions and 15 indicators to measure the performance of decision-making systems, which are evaluated using a Likert scale. The study uses random probability sampling to select the sample, and the results show that the scale used is reliable, with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.987. The results of the factor analysis show that the identified factor explains 89.01% of the total variance, indicating the unidimensionality of the scale.
