Tempo de tela, tempo sedentário e clima escolar em tempos de pandemia em estudantes entre 11 e 14 anos na região de Valparaíso, Chile

Resumo

Objetivo: Relacionar o tempo de tela e o tempo de sedentarismo ao clima escolar em tempos de pandemia em estudantes entre 11 e 14 anos na região de Valparaíso. Materiais e métodos: estudo não experimental, de abordagem quantitativa, de abrangência descritiva e correlacional. A amostra foi de 179 estudantes (104 mulheres e 75 homens) entre 11 e 14 anos de dois estabelecimentos de ensino da região de Valparaíso, no Chile. Para medir o nível de clima escolar, foi utilizada a Escala de Clima Social da Sala de Aula para estudantes (CSA). O tempo gasto em diferentes comportamentos sedentários foi medido com o questionário The Youth Activity Profile (YAP-SL). Resultados: os hábitos sedentários relacionaram-se negativamente com o clima escolar (r=-0,239/p=0,001), dentre eles destacou-se o tempo de uso do computador (PC) (r=-0,213/p=0,004). Por outro lado, o tempo gasto jogando videogame (r=0,033/p=0,666) e usando celular (r=-0,073/p=0,334) não teve relação, e o tempo gasto assistindo TV teve relação positiva com a competitividade dimensão ( r=0,160/p=0,032).Conclusão: O tempo gasto em diferentes comportamentos sedentários está associado negativamente ao clima escolar na sala de aula durante a pandemia de COVID-19. Com base nisso, sugere-se aumentar os níveis de atividade física e reduzir o tempo gasto em comportamentos sedentários, principalmente o tempo em frente ao PC.
