Relation entre la créativité et les performances scolaires chez les élèves de 3e à 6e année de l’école primaire

Résumé
INTRODUCTION. La créativité est l’une des compétences les plus demandées par la société actuelle en raison de son rôle important dans la résolution des problèmes et l’adaptation à un contexte changeant et compétitif. OBJECTIFS. Cette étude vise à déterminer la corrélation entre la créativité et les performances des élèves de 3e et 6e année de l’enseignement primaire (8-11 ans, MD:9.81±SD:.48; N=271,, 51,7% de garçons et 48,3% de filles) sélectionnés intentionnellement dans une école espagnole. L’objectif est d’analyser s’il existe une relation entre le niveau de créativité et les performances des participants à l’étude, en tenant compte également des variables de sexe et d’âge. MÉTHODE. Pour ce faire, une application numérique du test CREA (Corbalán et al., 2003) a été utilisée et les notes obtenues dans les matières de langue et de mathématiques ainsi que la note finale des matières de l’année scolaire 2020-2021 ont été utilisées comme données de performance académique. RÉSULTATS. Les scores de créativité diminuent dans le dernier cycle de l’enseignement primaire par rapport aux 3e et 4e années avec une corrélation positive significative entre la créativité et les résultats scolaires dans tous les groupes d’âge. Les qualifications et les résultats des tests étaient légèrement plus élevés chez les filles, bien que ce ne soit pas statistiquement significatif par rapport aux garçons. DISCUSSION. Les différentes causes pour lesquelles la capacité créative diminue chez les enfants de 10 et 11 ans par rapport à ceux de 8 et 9 ans sont discutées concluant à la nécessité de concevoir des programmes qui favorisent le développement global et le potentiel créatif des élèves pour qu’ils soient compétents.
