Abstract

This paper presents —referred to citizenship, diversity and coexistence— the Section IV four main parts, with some of its dimensions and topics: a) Curriculum. A curriculum to guarantee good education for everybody; education as every citizen's right; curriculum selection and organisation; basic competencies as common curriculum; relevant learning contents; education for citizenship; curriculum structure and organisation in different countries, etc. b) Didactics. Citizenship as a practice in classroom and educational institution; social communities of learning and civic development; cooperative learning; teaching and learning personalisation; good practices to face performance failure and other exclusion forms; integrating evaluation. c) Teacher's training; pre and in-service training able to equitably preparing every student for active and democratic participation; necessary teaching competencies; teaching activity as social service to community; new pre service teacher's training for secondary education; learning professional communities; relevant methodologies and activities of in service training. d) School organisation; organisation structures (timing, spaces and agent's participation) that promote citizenship learning and diversity integration; shared and transformational leadership; inclusive organisational culture to treat diversity: management and democratic schools; team teaching and collaboration; community approach of collaboration among school, family and municipality; inter-centres networks, etc.
