Análise dos motivos da prática de atividade física dirigida

Resumo

Introdução: A motivação é um fator psicológico que determina a adesão ao exercício físico, pelo que a sua análise dentro dos diferentes tipos de exercício em grupo (AADD) pode fornecer ferramentas úteis aos centros desportivos, a fim de oferecer uma melhor experiência aos praticantes.
Objectivo: Assim sendo, o objectivo do estudo foi analisar as motivações para a prática entre os praticantes de AADD, observando diferenças de motivação no que diz respeito ao sexo, idade e tipo de AADD.
Metodologia: Foi utilizada uma amostra de 291 praticantes de exercício físico em grupo (227 mulheres e 64 homens), com idades compreendidas entre os 17 e os 82 anos, com uma média de idades de 42,79 ± 16,02 anos. As variáveis ​​​​analisadas foram motivos de prática (com recurso ao questionário MPAM-R).
Resultados: Após análise, os resultados revelaram diferenças significativas nos motivos de prática em função do género, idade e tipo de AADD. A aparência (AP) foi o motivo mais importante para quem praticava AADD do tipo força (FZ), cardiorrespiratória (CR) e multiatividade (MA), bem como para os homens e jovens.
Discussão: Assim sendo, deve ser procurada uma abordagem de formação baseada nas motivações pelas quais os profissionais escolhem um tipo específico de AADD.
Conclusões: Os motivos de prática, particularmente PC e AP, são mais relevantes para homens e indivíduos mais jovens, e estudos futuros devem abordar estas variáveis ​​em contextos homogéneos e utilizar um desenho longitudinal para estabelecer relações causais.
