Exercício físico pós-tratamento no câncer de mama: um estudo longitudinal

A prevalência do cancro da mama tem aumentado progressivamente como resultado dos avanços nas terapias contra o cancro; No entanto, esses pacientes também experimentam uma variedade de efeitos adversos a longo prazo decorrentes de suas doenças e tratamentos. O presente estudo procurou determinar como uma intervenção de treinamento físico influenciou os índices de saúde física e mental em pacientes com câncer de mama. Um total de 30 pacientes do sexo feminino com câncer de mama (idade 42,81 ± 3,31 anos, índice de massa corporal (IMC) 26,87 ± 0,59 kg/m2 e circunferência da cintura 97,61 ± 1,94 cm) participaram de 12 regimes de exercícios duas vezes por semana, incluindo exercícios aeróbicos, de resistência e de flexibilidade. atividades. A intervenção de exercícios melhorou a aptidão cardiorrespiratória, o IMC, a circunferência da cintura e a função muscular dos participantes, incluindo sentar e levantar, abdominais e flexões. Resultados positivos também foram observados nos sintomas de transtorno de estresse pós-traumático (TEPT), fadiga autorreferida, qualidade de vida e funcionamento físico, cognitivo e emocional (p < 0,001). Em conclusão, os nossos resultados implicam que os benefícios de um programa de treino físico podem ajudar os pacientes com cancro da mama a reduzir os impactos negativos dos factores relacionados com o tratamento no desempenho físico, na qualidade de vida geral e na saúde mental.
