Sintomas pré-menstruais, respostas de humor e nível de serotonina: estudo sobre bebidas de banana enriquecidas com ovoalbumina na fase lútea de atletas universitárias

Resumo

Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar o efeito da intervenção aguda da bebida de banana enriquecida com clara de ovo nos sintomas pré-menstruais, humor e níveis de serotonina em atletas universitárias com transtorno disfórico pré-menstrual (TDPM). Este estudo experimental foi randomizado, duplo-cego e utilizou um desenho de grupo controle pré e pós-placebo. A técnica de amostragem proposital foi utilizada para selecionar a amostra da pesquisa. A técnica de amostragem proposital foi utilizada para selecionar as amostras de pesquisa e elas foram divididas em dois grupos, a saber, o grupo da bebida placebo e o grupo da bebida de banana. Cada participante estava na fase lútea tardia no momento da coleta de dados. Antes do teste, foram feitos registros das características dos sujeitos da pesquisa, cálculos do ciclo menstrual, observações do líquido cervical e medidas da temperatura corporal basal. O PSST-A é utilizado para diagnosticar TDPM moderado/grave; As respostas de humor foram avaliadas usando 24 itens de pesquisa BRUMS com a Escala de Humor de Brunel. A análise da serotonina foi realizada utilizando o kit Elisa Human Serotonin. Antes e após a intervenção (pré-pós-teste), ambos os grupos foram submetidos a um teste de flexão de braços por 60 segundos. A intervenção foi realizada 3 horas antes do preenchimento dos questionários PSST-A, BRUMS e teste de flexão. O teste estatístico dos dados da pesquisa foi realizado utilizando o SPSS versão 23. De acordo com os resultados da análise do PSST-A, foi relatado que a bebida de banana foi capaz de reduzir significativamente (*p<0,05) a ansiedade, dificuldade de concentração, fadiga/falta de energia, diminuição do interesse em atividades sociais, insônia, sintomas físicos e responsabilidade em casa. Da mesma forma, os resultados da análise da escala BRUMS demonstraram diminuição da depressão, raiva, fadiga e confusão em comparação ao grupo que recebeu bebida placebo. A análise estatística dos níveis de serotonina não mostrou aumento significativo nem no grupo placebo nem no grupo da bebida de banana. Mais pesquisas são necessárias para considerar a saúde digestiva e o microbioma intestinal na produção de serotonina e para analisar as propriedades antioxidantes das bananas nos sintomas psicossomáticos e comportamentais.
