Historia de la doncella Teodor, Typographical and bibliographical analysis, The printing press in Burgos, Juan de Junta, Fake imprintAbstract
This work announces a previously unknown edition of the Historia de la doncella Teodor and its typographical and bibliographical examination. The analysis makes it possible to identify the origin of the imprint in Juan de Junta’s workshop in Burgos, c. 1535-1540. The material trait that makes this imprint unique is that the last folio of the first gathering has been replaced by a manuscript copy that imitates the original typography, as well as the engravings. The textual and iconographic analysis allows to identify the source of the forged folio.
