El presente trabajo ofrece la primera traducción anotada al español del poema The Boke of Curtesy, conocido como The Lytylle Childrenes Lytil Boke, conservado en seis mss. del último tercio del s. XV, momento del gran desplazamiento de población inglesa hacia núcleos urbanos. Este tratado práctico en verso de intención didáctica tiene como público a los niños y jóvenes en un entorno de ascenso de la elite mercantil londinense. Muestra el correcto comportamiento en la mesa, siendo la comida, en familia pero especialmente en las recepciones públicas, el momento de sociabilidad por excelencia. The Boke of Curtesy entronca en una tradición occidental de libros de cortesía, textos educativos sobre el comportamiento y las reglas morales, que tiene como referentes últimos los Facetus. El trabajo, además de presentar la traducción y texto anotado, analiza sus contenidos, función y originalidad, y contextualiza la obra dentro del ambiente de época y de su tradición genérica.
