Abstract

The present study analyzes formative actions and plans that foster residences use to prepare vulnerable young people for leaving the residence and reaching successful social and employment integration and autonomous lives. Quantitative data has been used to describe the situation, and qualitative data to collected evidences to explain the results. The main results show that problems associated to life experiences of these protected young people make the inclusion process difficult; that residences have professionals who can work in this process but it is necessary to specify their laboral orientation actions. The specific figure does not exist of labour guide meeting neither specific protocols to prepare leaving process and supervision. So in this study the model used in foster residences is analysed in order to propose improvements to it.
