O que os professores de Educação Física sabem sobre os Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável? Um estudo qualitativo-exploratório

Em 2015, a ONU propôs 17 objetivos comuns que devem ser alcançados em menos de duas décadas. São conhecidos como Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS) e fazem parte de uma estratégia global denominada Agenda 2030. A educação tem sido proposta como eixo fundamental para o alcance dos ODS, sendo todos os componentes do sistema educacional essenciais para contribuir para um mundo mais sustentável econômica, social e ambientalmente. Especificamente, a Educação Física tem sido descrita como uma disciplina que possui características importantes para contribuir para o alcance dos ODS; Porém, na literatura anterior ainda não há pesquisas que avaliem as intervenções dos professores de Educação Física (DEF) na sustentabilidade. Para investigar esta área, o presente estudo tem como objetivo explorar o conhecimento do DEF sobre os ODS. Para isso, é realizado um estudo qualitativo-exploratório com base na entrevista. Doze DEFs Secundários (seis mulheres) responderam a oito questões agrupadas em três dimensões. A noção do conceito de sustentabilidade, a análise dos comportamentos sustentáveis levados a cabo e as considerações sobre o valor da Educação Física de forma a contribuir para a aquisição dos ODS. Os resultados mostraram que o DEF concebe a sustentabilidade antes de tudo como um problema ambiental, deixando de lado o aspecto econômico e social. Além disso, em sua maioria, confirmam que não realizam nenhum tipo de comportamento sustentável em sala de aula, limitando-se a ensinar os conteúdos da disciplina. Por fim, apontam o ODS 3 "Saúde e bem-estar" como o mais relacionado à Educação Física, seguido, de longe, pelo ODS 5 "Igualdade de gênero" ODS 16 "Paz e justiça social". Esses resultados permitirão estabelecer futuras intervenções e pesquisas voltadas ao aprimoramento da atividade docente no âmbito da Educação Física.
