Efeitos do treino de força e flexibilidade no valgo e na dor do joelho em mulheres jovens fisicamente ativas

O joelho valgo é um alinhamento medial da articulação que afeta sobretudo as mulheres. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar os efeitos de um protocolo de treino de força e flexibilidade no valgo passivo do joelho (VRP), valgo dinâmico do joelho (DVR) e presença de dor em mulheres jovens fisicamente ativas. Trinta e quatro estudantes universitárias, com idades compreendidas entre os 18 e os 30 anos, participaram num programa de treino de quatro semanas, que incluiu exercícios com bandas elásticas (Thera-bands®). As medições incluíram o ângulo Q para a VPR, o teste de salto e aterragem (LESS) para a VDR e a Escala Numérica Analógica (ENA) para a presença de dor. Nos resultados: verificou-se uma diminuição significativa da VPR (p=0,0028), tamanho do efeito (d=0,20), com uma variação de -2,21%. Em relação ao VDR, foram observadas reduções significativas tanto no primeiro pouso (p<0,0001, d=0,34, variação de -10,06%) como no segundo pouso (p=0,0226, d=0,13 , variação de -4,37%). A presença de dor também diminuiu significativamente (p=0,0019, d=0,89, intervalo de -38,64%). Conclusão: Os resultados sugerem que um protocolo combinado de treino de força e flexibilidade de quatro semanas pode ser eficaz na redução da RVP, RVD e dor em mulheres fisicamente ativas.
