A eficiência do Ram Thai com a dança Nine Square no desempenho físico e nas funções cognitivas: um modelo para o ensino médio

Resumo

Os declínios relacionados à idade na aptidão física e na função cognitiva relacionadas à saúde podem ser atenuados por um programa de exercícios com múltiplos movimentos. Portanto, o objetivo deste estudo foi determinar a eficácia do Ram Thai com nove quadrilha no desempenho físico e funções cognitivas em idosos. Os participantes foram designados aleatoriamente para um grupo experimental ou controle. A Avaliação Cognitiva Básica de Montreal (MoCA-B, versão tailandesa) foi escolhida entre voluntários selecionados e distribuída aleatoriamente em 2 grupos; Ram Thai com nove quadrilha (RTND:33) e exercício de caminhada rápida (BWE:34) com idade de 65,3±2,4 anos, índice de massa corporal (IMC) de 25,5±11,9 kg/m2. Os parâmetros de desempenho físico avaliados foram: teste de coçar as costas (TCS), teste de alongamento da cadeira (CSRT), teste de levantar da cadeira (CST), teste de flexão dos braços em 30 segundos (ACT), caminhada de 6 minutos (6-WT) e teste de levantar e ir cronometrado (TUG) foram realizados respectivamente. Nossos resultados mostraram que os aspectos fisiológicos revelaram redução no percentual de gordura corporal, enquanto foi observado aumento significativo nos escores dos testes de VO2máx em ambos os grupos (p≤0,05). Além disso, houve uma melhora na força dos membros inferiores, conforme evidenciado por aumentos estatisticamente significativos nas pontuações de CST, 6-WT e TUG em comparação com os valores pré-teste (p≤0,05). Em relação ao desempenho do BST, o grupo RTND apresentou resultados significativamente melhores em comparação ao grupo BWE (p≤,001). Além disso, descobrimos que os resultados significativamente mais elevados indicam maior variabilidade nas pontuações do MoCA-B (24,11≈26,37) entre os participantes mais velhos do grupo RTND (p≤0,001). Os dados indicam que o RTND melhora efetivamente os aspectos fisiológicos, o controle do desempenho físico e a função cognitiva geral em idosos com comprometimento cognitivo leve (CCL).
