Relação entre dieta mediterrânea, atividade física e inteligência emocional em estudantes universitários espanhóis

É necessário verificar os níveis de adesão à dieta mediterrânica dos estudantes universitários espanhóis. É necessário aprofundar o que são e quais os fatores que os determinam. Isto é útil para desenhar propostas eficazes para promover a dieta nesta população. Os objectivos são: 1) Classificar os estudantes universitários espanhóis em graus de educação de acordo com os seus níveis de dieta mediterrânica, actividade física e inteligência emocional; 2) Analisar a influência da atividade física e da inteligência emocional como determinantes da dieta mediterrânica de acordo com perfis de estilo de vida. Foi desenhado um estudo transversal com a participação de uma amostra representativa de estudantes universitários de Licenciaturas em Pedagogia. A idade dos participantes variou entre 18 e 43 anos (20,84±2,90). Os homens representaram 30,2% da amostra (n=125) e as mulheres 69,8% (n=289). Foi aplicado um questionário online que incluía: PREDIMED, IPAQ-SF e TMMS-24. O modelo de regressão obtido para toda a amostra foi: Dieta mediterrânea= 2,536+0,001*atividade física+0,029*inteligência emocional. A classificação de cluster em dois estágios (Ward e k-means) foi validada com o teste MANOVA (traço de Pillai: F (6, 820) = 159,101; p ≤ 0,001; f = 1,00). Conclui-se que a adesão de 8% dos estudantes universitários à dieta mediterrânica é prevista pela atividade física moderada-vigorosa e pela inteligência emocional. A adesão à dieta está positivamente relacionada à atividade física e à inteligência emocional.
