Efeitos do exercício combinado de intensidade moderada no aumento dos níveis de adiponectina, massa muscular e diminuição da massa gorda em mulheres obesas

Resumo

É relatado que a obesidade está fortemente associada a baixos níveis de adiponectina, que pode estar envolvida na síndrome metabólica, resistência à insulina, doenças cardiovasculares, hipertensão e proliferação de células cancerígenas. Enquanto isso, foi relatado que o exercício físico aumenta os níveis de adiponectina e diminui a resistência à insulina em pessoas obesas. Portanto, este estudo teve como objetivo testar os efeitos de quatro semanas de exercício combinado de intensidade moderada (aeróbico e resistido) no aumento dos níveis de adiponectina, da massa muscular esquelética (MME) e na diminuição da massa muscular e gordura (FM) em mulheres obesas. Um total de 14 mulheres adolescentes obesas com idades entre 20 e 24 anos com índice de massa corporal (IMC) de 27,5 a 36,5 kg/m2 (de acordo com a classificação do IMC da Ásia-Pacífico) foram selecionadas como sujeitos de pesquisa e divididas em dois grupos de intervenção: grupos controle (CON) e exercício combinado de intensidade moderada (MCE). O método do kit ELISA foi utilizado para analisar os níveis de adiponectina antes e após o exercício, enquanto o mBCA 554 seco foi utilizado para medir o IMC, FM e SMM. A análise estatística foi realizada por meio de teste t para amostras independentes com nível de significância de 5%. Os dados mostraram ∆-IMC entre CON e MCE (0,54±0,99 vs -1,31±0,19 kg/m2; p = 0,001), ∆-FM (1,56±3,89 vs -3,60±1,16 kg; p = 0,006), ∆-SMM (-0,85±1,91 vs 3,61±0,74 kg; p = 0,001), ∆-Adiponectina (0,55±2,39 vs 15,45±6,21 ng/mL; p = 0,001). Os resultados demonstram que uma intervenção de exercício combinado de intensidade moderada de 4 semanas aumenta efetivamente os níveis de adiponectina e a massa muscular esquelética e reduz o índice de massa corporal e a massa gorda em mulheres obesas.
