A categoria e a posição de jogo influenciam as lesões desportivas no futebol?

O futebol é considerado um esporte de grande exigência física, e devido ao aumento do volume e da intensidade dos processos de treinamento, ocorre um aumento no número de lesões nos jogadores. As atividades de corrida de alta intensidade e rebatidas de bola podem ser as principais causas de lesões musculares e na virilha, enquanto os duelos pela bola podem ser as atividades incitadoras mais comuns para lesões de tornozelo, sendo os membros inferiores os que apresentam maior número de lesões. O principal objetivo deste trabalho é conhecer a influência da categoria e posição do jogo nas lesões desportivas. As variáveis dependentes analisadas foram categoria e posição de jogo. As variáveis independentes foram: parte do corpo lesionada, tecido afetado, lado afetado e ocorrência da lesão. Os resultados mostram como há um aumento no número de lesões à medida que aumenta a categoria dos jogadores. Pelo contrário, não foram encontradas diferenças significativas em função das variáveis dependentes analisadas. Devido à influência das lesões no desempenho individual e global da equipe, devem ser realizados programas de treinamento individualizados para a realização de trabalhos de prevenção de lesões.
