Resumo

Reduzir o peso corporal e a gordura corporal é o principal objetivo para superar a obesidade. Modificações no estilo de vida com abordagem não farmacológica baseada em exercícios físicos programados são recomendadas para aumentar o gasto energético e reduzir peso e gordura corporal. Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar diferentes tipos de exercícios para redução e manutenção da gordura corporal em mulheres adultas jovens com obesidade. Este estudo foi um ensaio clínico randomizado (ECR) com desenho experimental cientificamente validado. Um grupo de 28 mulheres sedentárias com sobrepeso foi recrutado e recebeu regimes de exercícios aeróbicos, de força e mistos. Os programas de treinamento aeróbico, resistido e combinado foram realizados com intensidade de 60-70% da FCmáx para aeróbio e 60-70% de 1RM para resistência. Essas sessões foram realizadas 3 vezes por semana durante 4 semanas. Mensuração da gordura corporal antes da intervenção e 24 horas após a intervenção durante 4 semanas utilizando Seca mBCA 554. Para análise estatística foi utilizado o teste one-way ANOVA, com nível de significância de 5%. Os resultados demonstraram uma redução significativa na gordura corporal através de todas as três formas de exercício, evidente na diminuição das alterações no índice de massa corporal, peso corporal, massa gorda e massa gorda livre (p ≤ 0,05). Além disso, todas as três modalidades de exercício levaram a um aumento significativo nas alterações na massa muscular esquelética em comparação com o grupo controle (p ≤ 0,05). Os resultados do nosso estudo concluíram que o tipo combinado de exercício realizado 3 vezes por semana durante 4 semanas foi mais benéfico na redução da gordura corporal e no aumento da massa muscular em comparação com o exercício aeróbico e o exercício resistido em mulheres adultas jovens obesas.
