¿Qué impacto pueden tener los programas de mentoría social en la sociedad? Una exploración de las evaluaciones existentes y propuesta de marco analítico

Resumen

Este trabajo realiza una revisión de la literatura científica existente sobre la men­toría social y sus efectos en jóvenes en riesgo de exclusión social y otros colectivos. Co­menzamos presentando la variedad de programas que han sido evaluados y las diferentes perspectivas que abordan dicha evaluación. También se presenta un marco analítico para ahondar en el estudio de la orientación y el contexto socio-político de la mentoría social, así como una definición del concepto de acuerdo con las nuevas realidades sociales emergentes. Finalmente, destacamos la necesidad de contar con un abanico mayor de investigaciones y evaluaciones que puedan informar mejor acerca de la práctica de los programas de mentoría social que están emergiendo en España, Europa y Latinoamérica.

Biografía del autor/a

Òscar Prieto-Flores, Universitat de Girona

Es profesor agregado (contratado doctor) del departamento de Pedago¬gía de la Universitat de Girona. Su campo de investigación se centra en la inclusión educativa y social de las minorías étnicas en general y en el rol de la mentoría en particular. Ha participado en investigación básica española y europea y ha publicado artículos en revistas científicas inter¬nacionales. También ha sido recientemente visiting scholar en las universidades de Stanford y UMASS - Boston (Estados Unidos).

Jordi Feu Gelis, Universitat de Girona

Es profesor titular del departamento de Pedagogía de la Universitat de Girona. Cuenta con una extensa carrera investigadora con más de un centenar de artículos y contribu¬ciones a congresos nacionales e internacionales. Su investigación más reciente se centra en las relaciones de poder i el fomento de la democracia en espacios educativos, la mentoría social y la renovación pedagógica. Ha impartido docencia en universidades latinoamericanas y tiene reco¬nocidos por la CNAI dos tramos de investigación.
