Fibromyalgic syndrome is one of the most frequent chronic pain disorders in everyday clinical practice. At present, its treatment is restricted by lack of knowledge about its aetiology. This paper describes training in Biofeedback Electromyography as a possible treatment based on the alterations of muscular activities shown by these patients. A review is made of the empirical evidence of its use so far in relation to this syndrome.Downloads
