Efeito do treinamento intervalado de alta intensidade sobre o comportamento do sistema nervoso autônomo

Resumo

O treinamento intervalado de alta intensidade (HIIT) tornou-se um método de treinamento estratégico e inovador para melhorar os indicadores cardiovasculares, porém, o efeito subcrônico na variabilidade da frequência cardíaca tem sido pouco estudado. Objetivo: Determinar o efeito crônico de um AIIS no sistema nervoso autônomo em adultos sedentários. Método: participaram 20 adultos sedentários aparentemente saudáveis ​​(33,3±5,2 anos), para os quais foi estimada a velocidade intermitente final. O programa de treinamento intervalado consistiu em 6 semanas (16 sessões) com intervalos de 48 horas entre elas. A resposta do sistema nervoso autônomo foi avaliada por meio da variabilidade da frequência cardíaca e do índice de estresse. Resultados: Não foram encontradas diferenças significativas (p< 0,05) entre as sessões do programa HIIT no índice de estresse e na variabilidade da frequência cardíaca. Conclusão: O treinamento intervalado de alta intensidade não apresentou alterações crônicas no sistema nervoso autônomo, portanto este tipo de treinamento não causa estresse ou sobrecarga em uma população sedentária.
