Torne mais fácil: uma revisão narrativa de estudos empíricos de carreira dupla

Resumo

A dual career é um desafio enfrentado por muitos atletas, que precisam compaginar seu treinamento esportivo com a dedicação necessária ao estudo, ao trabalho ou a ambos. Uma revisão narrativa foi realizada para identificar e analisar barreiras e recursos para a rotina de atletas de elite. Onze bases de dados disponíveis na Plataforma de Periódicos da Capes (Portal Capes) foram pesquisadas por meio das palavras-chave “dual career” e “atletas”, escritas em inglês, espanhol ou português. Foram analisados ​​22 artigos que atenderam aos critérios de inclusão e categorias estabelecidos com base nas características de suas amostras. A análise mostrou que a dificuldade dos atletas em organizar uma rotina para atender às exigências da área educacional e esportiva foi a principal questão para a conciliação de suas duas carreiras. Dentre os programas esportivos citados, houve algum sucesso em relação ao gerenciamento do tempo para a prática esportiva; no entanto, faltava uma análise aprofundada do alcance desses serviços e os atletas de elite careciam de uma adesão mais equilibrada à rotina universitária. Ao lado das dimensões objetivas da gestão de dual-career, destacamos a importância de novas linhas de investigação que analisam os projetos de vida de atletas e seus familiares em diferentes culturas e realidades socioeconômicas.
