A renda parental influencia os níveis de atividade física e o comportamento sedentário de estudantes do ensino médio.

Este estudo tem como objetivo determinar a atividade física (nível de AF) e o comportamento sedentário (nível de SB) em alunos com diferentes níveis de renda parental. Este estudo utilizou um desenho transversal. Os sujeitos utilizados neste estudo foram 900 estudantes de 10 escolas e dez cidades em Java Oriental, na Indonésia. Os dados sobre a renda dos pais dos alunos foram agrupados em cinco categorias de acordo com o nível de renda (muito baixa: n = 360; baixa: n = 231; média: n = 123; alta: n = 79; muito alta: n = 107 ). Os instrumentos de pesquisa utilizados foram o Questionário de Atividade Física Infantil (CPAQ) para mensurar o nível de atividade física (nível de AF) e o Questionário de Atividade Sedentária do Adolescente (ASAQ) para mensurar o nível de comportamento sedentário (nível de SB). Os resultados do teste estatístico de Mann-Whitney mostraram diferenças significativas no nível de atividade física e no nível de CS entre o grupo de pais de renda muito baixa e os grupos de renda baixa, média, alta e muito alta (p <0,05). Concluindo, quanto maior o nível de renda dos pais, melhor será a atividade física dos alunos e menor será o seu comportamento sedentário.
