Abstract. This paper describes a methodological approach focused on "Learning by Expressive Projects" (LEP). Key aspects are: (a) to involve students in the creation of an expressive project, promoting autonomy and group responsibility; (b) the role of teachers as a guide and facilitator of their students’ current active expressive motivations; (c) to include repeated periods of educational and shared evaluation in order to progressively enhance the project, giving importance to both process and final product in each period. This model has evolved over the years, highlighting that both students and teachers may oppose corporal expression at the secondary education level. We believe that LEP can improve students’ and teachers’ motivation towards these activities, since it respects the individual processes of active involvement during corporal expression tasks. This proposal makes students aware of their learning process, their creations, and their achievements by means of prompting mutual cooperation. Teachers are actively involved with each group of students as they are encouraged to respond to their questions, their interests, and motivations in corporal expression. An essential feature of this proposal is the carrying out of educational and shared evaluations throughout the project, which promote self-improvement and motivation as the main focus of students’ learnings.
