O impacto da pandemia de COVID-19 nas aulas de Educação Física Portuguesa

Resumo

As restrições induzidas pela Covid-19 condicionaram, de forma muito significativa, a vida escolar de milhões de crianças e jovens. No entanto, pouco se sabe sobre o impacto da pandemia nas aulas de Educação Física (EF) em Portugal. O objetivo deste estudo é descrever a perceção dos alunos do 1.º Ciclo e do Ensino Secundário Obrigatório sobre o impacto da pandemia nas aulas de EF em Portugal. Participaram 1.419 alunos da região Centro (53,3/46,7% meninas, idade média 14,4 anos), que responderam presencialmente a um questionário anônimo. Os resultados indicam que as medidas restritivas impostas às aulas de EF no primeiro trimestre de 2020/21 acabaram por ter um forte impacto na programação dos conteúdos curriculares. A condição física assumiu um papel importante nas aulas de EF. Os participantes consideraram a escola um espaço seguro que os protegeu de possíveis riscos de contágio; expressaram maior satisfação com as aulas presenciais. Os níveis de satisfação com a EF estiveram em linha com os de estudos anteriores.
