Análise de programas de exercícios aquáticos em pessoas com fibromialgia

Resumo

A fibromialgia causa diminuição da função física, da qualidade de vida e maior prevalência de doenças relacionadas à saúde mental. O tratamento farmacológico é o mais utilizado em pacientes com fibromialgia, mas uma abordagem correta do processo terapêutico deve incluir a prática de exercícios físicos. A atividade física causa melhoras na sintomatologia, na capacidade aeróbica, na função física e na percepção subjetiva de bem-estar geral e autoeficácia. Portanto, o objetivo deste estudo é atualizar o estado da arte relacionado ao exercício aquático em pacientes com Fibromialgia, bem como conhecer os principais benefícios deste tipo de intervenção. Para a busca, compilação e seleção dos artigos, foram utilizadas as palavras-chave: “fibromialgia” e “exercício aquático”, que foram inseridos nas bases de dados Scopus, Web of Science e PubMed. Para adequar a busca ao objeto de estudo, estabeleceu-se uma série de critérios de inclusão de publicações científicas. Os estudos analisados ​​mostram que o exercício aquático é uma alternativa eficaz e complementar à terapia convencional. Entre os benefícios do exercício aquático estão a redução do estresse, a redução da fadiga e a melhora dos sintomas de depressão e ansiedade, além da diminuição de dores e problemas de insônia. Perante estes resultados, parece que os programas de exercício físico aquático são um tipo de tratamento não farmacológico a ter em conta no tratamento de doentes com fibromialgia, melhorando os sintomas e a qualidade de vida.
