Aspectos centrais da identificação e desenvolvimento de talentos esportivos: uma revisão sistemática

Resumo. A detecção e desenvolvimento de talentos esportivos tem sido, durante décadas, uma estratégia usada internacionalmente para obter atletas de elite e, para isso, recruta desde muito jovens meninos e meninas que são submetidos a altos níveis de treinamento. Objetivo: o objetivo desta revisão foi identificar e sintetizar a literatura mais importante sobre os efeitos da idade relativa (EER), volume de treinamento (VE), especialização precoce (TE) e diversificação da prática esportiva. (DPD) no sucesso esportivo. Metodologia: Pesquisas eletrônicas foram feitas no PubMed, ScienceDirect, SPORTDiscus (EBSCOhost), Ciência, Ciências Sociais, Web of Science, Scirus, Hinari, EMBASE, CINAHL, PsychINFO, Scopus e Ovid usando as palavras-chave: idade relativa, especialização precoce, volume treinamento, diversificação esportiva. Resultados: Após seleção contra os critérios estabelecidos, foram incluídos 77 artigos, que foram completamente revisados e continham dados relevantes sobre EER, VE, ET e DPD. A qualidade das evidências analisadas foi boa. Conclusões: Evidências científicas indicam que o sucesso em atletas de elite e super elite não está correlacionado com VE, ET, EER. Esses achados devem ser cuidadosamente considerados por todos os envolvidos na identificação e desenvolvimento de atletas.
