Efeito de um programa de exercícios físicos na condição física e na gordura visceral em pessoas com obesidade

Resumo. Introdução. A obesidade pode ser definida como um desequilíbrio entre a ingestão de calorias e o gasto de energia, resultando em ganho de peso. Hoje é aceito que a obesidade é um dos maiores problemas sociais e de saúde em todo o mundo e sua prevalência está aumentando continuamente. A gordura visceral é considerada um fator patogênico na obesidade. Objetivo. O objetivo era avaliar o efeito do treinamento concorrente na condição física, composição corporal e área de gordura visceral em pessoas com obesidade. Métodos. 30 pessoas com obesidade participaram deste estudo. Eles realizaram um programa de treinamento concorrente adaptado e controlado por oito semanas. Testes de condição física (resistência muscular, aptidão cardiorrespiratória e flexibilidade) e composição corporal foram realizados antes e após o período de intervenção. Resultados. Foi observada melhora nas variáveis de condição física relacionadas à força muscular, tanto nas extremidades superiores (braço direito p = 0,001 e braço esquerdo p = 0,002) quanto nas extremidades inferiores (p = 0,001). Velocidade de marcha (p = 0,001) e agilidade (p = 0,001) também aumentaram significativamente. Todas as variáveis de composição corporal melhoraram significativamente. Enquanto a massa gorda, peso, IMC e área de gordura visceral diminuíram consideravelmente (p <0,001). A massa magra e a massa muscular aumentaram significativamente (p = 0,001). Conclusão. O programa de treinamento simultâneo melhora significativamente a composição corporal em pessoas obesas, o que está relacionado aos melhores níveis de força muscular e leva a uma diminuição significativa da gordura visceral.
