Resumo

Na última década, os eventos desportivos surgiram como pilares fundamentais da expansão do campo desportivo como atividade económica. Este estudo analisa a percepção da população residente sobre a responsabilidade social empresarial (RSE) e o cumprimento dos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS) nos Jogos Pan-Americanos e Parapan-Americanos de Santiago 2023. A metodologia consistiu na aplicação de pesquisas aplicadas em três regiões dos Jogos Pan-Americanos e Parapan-Americanos. Chile, onde foi avaliada a percepção de 617 moradores sobre os impactos sociais, econômicos e ambientais do evento. Os resultados evidenciaram um apoio significativo aos jogos, destacando a promoção do desporto entre os jovens, a criação de oportunidades de emprego e negócios e a preservação do património cultural. No entanto, também foram identificadas preocupações sobre aumentos de preços e acessibilidade aos espaços públicos. Observou-se uma avaliação positiva na ligação dos indicadores com os ODS, especialmente na igualdade de género, no crescimento económico e na sustentabilidade urbana. Este estudo destaca a importância do planeamento estratégico e da implementação de estratégias sustentáveis ​​em eventos desportivos, destacando a RSE como pilar fundamental.
