Desenvolvimento de padrões para ferramentas de medição de tempo de reação para atletas de tênis de mesa

Treinadores de tênis de mesa, equipes de seleção de atletas e pesquisadores buscam uma ferramenta rara, mas essencial: uma medida precisa do desempenho do tempo de reação. Nesta pesquisa e desenvolvimento (P&D) 4D, os pesquisadores se propuseram a desenvolver uma ferramenta para medir o tempo de reação (TR) de atletas de tênis de mesa e padronizar o processo de desenvolvimento. Noventa participantes (n=90), com idade de 17,97 anos (IC 99%: 17,7–18,2) e altura média de 168,05 cm (IC 99%: 167–169), utilizaram a ferramenta e o aplicativo PLX DAQ registrou seus dados. Utilizando o RStudio e a técnica de estatística descritiva, analisamos os dados: entre os principais achados, a ferramenta forneceu evidências de alta validade (índice V de Aiken = 0,92) e boa confiabilidade (CCI = 0,87). A categorização dos atletas revelou quatro limites distintos de faixa de TR: ‘Excelente’ (3 atletas), ‘Bom’ (6 atletas), ‘Regular’ (50 atletas) e ‘Ruim’ (31 atletas), respectivamente com limites de TR de 12,1 e 13,1, 14,1 e 15,1, 16,1 e 17,1 e depois 18,1 e 19,1 ms. A altura influenciou significativamente o TR (r = -0,46), enquanto a idade não. À medida que a altura aumentou de cerca de 167,5±175 cm, o TR diminuiu abaixo de 15 ms. Recomendamos a divulgação de uma ferramenta válida, confiável e capaz de categorizar o desempenho dos atletas.
