Análise de publicações relacionadas com o desempenho desportivo no basquetebol em cadeira de rodas: revisão bibliométrica

Resumo

O Basquetebol em cadeira de rodas (BSR) é uma modalidade desportiva destinada a pessoas com deficiência física, uma vez que os seus jogadores apresentam dificuldades de movimentação em consequência de amputações, problemas no sistema músculo-esquelético ou espinha bífida. Assim sendo, o objetivo deste trabalho é analisar a tendência e a evolução das publicações que analisam o desempenho em BSR, através da utilização de uma revisão bibliométrica da literatura da base de dados Web of Science, incluindo documentos publicados até à atualidade (n = 209) . Os resultados mostram um crescimento exponencial de 41,5% desde 2008 até ao presente. Além disso, observa-se que a Espanha é o país que mais investigação desenvolve. A Universidade do País Basco é a instituição que apresenta o maior número de estudos (n = 19). Aitor Iturricastillo e Javier Yanci são os autores com maior número de estudos publicados (n = 17), ambos pertencentes à referida organização. Da mesma forma, analisar o desempenho dos jogadores do BSR permitir-nos-á analisar o desempenho de diferentes atletas, uma vez que cada atleta apresentará uma condição física diferente. Para tal, devem ser realizados testes específicos para analisar a força explosiva, a agilidade e a força da parte superior do corpo. Além disso, a análise do desempenho desportivo permite conhecer as ações técnico-táticas das equipas e dos jogadores.
